JOB TITLE: CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER
LOCATION: EDISON, NJ
DUTIES:

Perform engineering duties in overseeing construction projects.

Ensure that the field engineers thoroughly review and understand construction specifications and drawings pertaining to the assigned project.

Monitor, supervise and ensure that they stay up to date, follow ACI/ICC codes and procedures as part of quality control/quality assurance testing and inspections.

Make sure they complete appropriate checklist, take photographs and document progress of work on the approved drawings of the project and submit daily field report.

Perform independently and coordinate with other professional engineers.

Communicate and coordinate with the project team and field engineers, attend project progress meetings.

If the field engineers find any deviation and report, evaluate the situation, verify conformity with project specification.

Take necessary step to correct, endorse and to approve the questionable portion of the work.

Assist Project Manager in reviewing request for proposal and prepare cost estimates for clients as well as subcontractors.
REQUIREMENT:
-
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
-
24-month experience as Civil Engineer
-
licensed in New York State as Professional Engineer; should also be a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from American Welding Society (AWS)

Certified Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector (CSSBSI) from International Code Council (ICC)
